Vote to Override Gubernatorial Veto on Assistant Clerk Salary Raise House #123

Vote Description

This section of the budget allows trial courts to designate one assistant clerk with extra duties, which will in turn give the assistant clerk a pay raise equal to ten percent of the clerk's salary.

Mass Fiscal Explanation

Mass Fiscal would have with Governor Baker to override this section. Like the Governor, we believe "it increases... costs to... trial courts without any corresponding benefits."
